My Journey to Cylla:
A Greek Story in Birmingham
My name is Adonis Maniadakis, and I’ve always loved food and my Greek heritage. I was influenced by the stories, tastes, and customs that I grew up with.
That desire led me to Birmingham, where I worked in the hospitality industry before taking a big step and founding the city’s first fine dining Greek restaurant.
Cylla is named after Scylla, a mythical marine creature that stands for both land and sea. Our cuisine shows that balance, with Greek-inspired fish and meat dishes that stand out.
For powerful seafood, we have “The Enchanting Seas,” and for comfortable Mediterranean flavours, we have “The Serene Lands.” There are also interesting mezze sharing plates that bring people together.
We make our drinks with Greek spirits and fresh ingredients that go well with our food.
